SAVENNIERES BELLEVUE 2019 DOMAINE PATRICK BAUDOUIN
Today, Domaine Patrick Baudouin has thirteen and a half hectares of vines in production. Ten hectares of Chenin, three and a half of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, in the communes of Chaudefonds sur Layon, Saint Aubin de Luigné and Rochefort sur Loire (Quart de Chaume). Patrick also planted one hectare of Savennières in 2009.
The Estate undertook to convert all its vines to organic farming in 2002. Any new plot rented or purchased is immediately converted, if it is not already organic.
Since 1997 they resumed tillage, then abandoned chemical weedkillers, and from 2001 they no longer used synthetic treatment products. In the cellar, since 1994, no more wine from the Domaine has been chaptalized ("sweetened", as the ancients said), by limiting sulfur to a minimum.
In the vineyard, certified organic farming, constant search for the best human labor / biotope ratio, for a non-destructive, sustainable culture.
CAYRELIERES WINE OF FRANCE JEAN LIGNIRES 2020
Grenache from the new cuvée les Cayrelières from Chateau La Baronne is a 100% Grenache cuvée with no added sulphur.
The story of the Lignères family is that of doctors who have wine in their veins! The next generation of André, a general practitioner and Suzette, a pharmacist, was assured by their children, Jean, a village doctor like his father in Moux, and his wife Anne, Paul, dentist, and Geneviève, pharmacist-biologist. the Lignères Family's links with the world of wine go back to the 16th century in the villages of Fontcouverte and Moux. Louis Lignères founded the Maison de Vins in 1890 and it was in 1957 that Suzette and André Lignères acquired La Baronne.
A team of passionate people serving the terroir of the Montagne d'Alaric. In the wines of La Baronne, they try to translate this respect and passion, by practicing a biological culture highlighting the terroir of this privileged region of Languedoc - Roussillon.
At La Baronne, Languedoc's traditional grape varieties have always been in the limelight ... but the Lignères family has a penchant for Carignan. Magnify the expression, convey the finesse and elegance of this emblematic grape of the region in wines is a constant challenge.
Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil La Croisée Domaine de la Cotelleraie 2022 75 cl
The Vallée family has been established for several centuries on the best wine-growing sites of Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil. Currently, four generations live in the village: the grandmother Denise Vallée Moreau, the father Claude Vallée and Gérald, the grandson and son. Bertille, Gérald's daughter, was born on the first day of that famous heatwave in August 2003. Gérald took over in 1997. The estate extends over 26 hectares shared between the gravels of the terrace, the siliceous limestones of the low hillside and the gravelly hills of the Loire Valley. This is where the vines of prestigious places flourish like: Les Mauguerets, La Cotelleraie, La Mineraie, Le Vau Jaumier, Les Perruches... The cultivation of vines is ancestral as evidenced by the numerous Gallo-Roman remains ( villas, Roman roads, amphorae). It evolves with man and with generations. In 2004 the manual harvest was carried out on the entire estate. Then came the pleasure of welcoming beautiful bunches of grapes into the cellars. Thermoregulated vats are undeniable progress for the successful vinification of larger volumes and their storage. Four small vintages are transported into wooden vats, which means punching down by foot during fermentation. They will give L’Envol. In 2002 the barrel cellar and in 2003 the barrel cellar were completely restored, in 2004 it was the turn of the old barrel cellar: tufa stone, rubble stones, beams and oak and chestnut flooring. They arbitrate the oak barrels. For a year, the beautiful vintages evolve there. In 2004 the manual harvest was carried out on the entire estate. PIC SAINT LOUP OPTIMISTIC 2021 THE PATH OF DREAMS
Benoît VIOT traveled the world before settling down winemaker just north of Montpellier.
This pharmacy, a pharmacist in the industry, has always been passionate about biology and medicine.
Before going into viticulture, he spent ten years trying to understand the wine, even going so far as to make it in his bathroom in England!
A last visit to Chile has decided to embark on this adventure.
After two years of training, in 2004, he rents 7 hectares of AOC Coteaux du Languedoc Pic Saint Loup and Grés de Montpellier vines in Combaillaux and Saint Gély du Fesc. He buys agricultural and winemaking equipment and creates “the Chemin des Rêves”.
The name of the estate comes from a small path that runs along the vines and which had been nicknamed “Chemin des Rêves” by a resident of the village who came to walk there every day.
In 2008, he buys 7 additional hectares of vines at Saint Gély and a cellar.
In 2009, he builds a sales and tasting cellar.
In 2012, he renovates the winery.
Grapes: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan
