CHAMPAGNE CHARLES HEIDSIECK BLANC DE BLANCS BOX 2 FLUTES
CHAMPAGNE CHARLES HEIDSIECK BLANC DE BLANCS BOX 2 FLUTES

Charles Heidsieck House was one of the first Champagne Houses to realize his passion for Chardonnays by developing a Blanc de Blancs from the 1949 vintage. There are also some stories about the existence of Côte des Blancs mono-crus produced by Charles Heidsieck in 1906 ... Through this vintage relaunched in 2018, two know-how of the House meet: that of elaborating great white wines as well as the art of assembling a great selection of wines from years and di erent terroirs. The challenge, of size, is to make coexist opposites: the tension and the freshness of the young chardonnays on the one hand; the silky and patina "Charles" of the other.

Gentleman-entrepreneur in this nineteenth century who dared everything, Charles Heidsieck was a heir to Champagne carried by an immoderate taste of the challenge. He decided to found, at the age of 29 years, a House in his image: authentic, distinguished and absolutely different from others. Faithful to this spirit, his grandson Charles-Marcel creates the first Blanc de Blancs 1949, reinforcing the style of a House that is available in all varieties.

CHAMPAGNE CHARLES HEIDSIECK BRUT RESERVE 75CL BOX 2 FLUTES

CHAMPAGNE CHARLES HEIDSIECK BRUT RESERVE 75 CL BOX 2 FLUTES

It is with its raw reserve that the House expresses the quintessence of its style. Particularly recognizable, this wine is the result of a unique blend summarized in one equation: 60 / 40 / 10.
60: The number of vintages entering a demanding, tight and tailor-made assembly.
The wines of the year, in proportion to a third for each grape variety (Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir), are vinified raw by vintage, varietal grape variety, in stainless steel vats.
40: A high proportion of 40% reserve wines, at parity between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, ensures the beautiful complexity and the greediness of Brut Réserve.
10: The average age of reserve wines, exceptional in Champagne. From the best wines of the great years, the wines stored in reserve are kept between 5 and 15 years in vats or more. A time of maturation essential to their finesse and their aromatic intensity.

Details Domain
At Champagne Gosset, for more than four centuries, everything has been done to perpetuate the know-how of a family craft in the development of our Champagne wines.

In 1584, Pierre Gosset, Alderman of Aÿ and winemaker, produced still wines, often red, with the harvest of his own vines. At the time, two wines competed for the place at the table of the kings of France: the wine of Aÿ and, a few hundred leagues further south, the wine of Beaune. Both were made from the same noble grape varieties: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The reputation of the A d'wine was such that François 1er set up a vintage, a time property of the house Gosset. Then, in the eighteenth century, the wines of Aÿ and the region became effervescent.

Even today, the cuvées are presented in an antique bottle, an exact reproduction of the one used since the XNUMXth century by Champagne Gosset.
The malolactic fermentation is carefully stopped in order to preserve the malic acid which restores the naturally fruity aroma of the wines.
